German American Partnership Program (GAPP)
I am one of a small number of "imports" into the district faculty, having graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1997. From there, I stayed close to home and went to undergraduate school at Ursinus College where I first ran into Mr. Kloss, one of our noteable Social Studies teachers. During my junior year "at" Ursinus, I studied abroad at the University of Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. In 2001, I graduated UC with a BA in German, and started teaching the following fall. I spent a few years teaching middle school, and when a High School position opened up, I took the job here at Interboro, where I have been since 2004. Over three summers from 2003-2006, I went to Graduate School in Vermont, at Middlebury College, where I received my MA in German in the summer of 2006. If you have a free summer during your own college career, I highly recommend taking a language there. It's a terrific and unique experience. They offer 9 languages, and the best experiences you may ever have, both educationally and personally.
